The Chicago Lighthouse: Low Vision Clinic and The Children’s Development Center (CDC). In the outpatient Low Vision Clinic, I provide client-centered interventions for individuals with vision impairments, enhancing their functional abilities and overall well-being through utilization of optical and non-optical strategies, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications for low vision.The Children’s Development Center (CDC) is a specialized therapeutic day school that supports students with vision impairments, autism, and multiple disabilities. At the CDC, my occupational therapy interventions align with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), addressing their unique goals and needs, which often include visual, behavioral, motor, and sensory challenges.
