Key accountabilities: Leads, develops and oversees the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives to reduce loss and control costs across the Co-op food business. Manages and oversees the day to day relationship with key GNFR contracts, implementing strategies and challenging performance where required. Provides support, guidance and challenge to the senior retail operations leadership team relating to loss and cost management in areas of responsibility. Working cross functionally with senior stakeholders across the Co-op food business to promote a culture of end-to-end loss and cost management. Owns and develops policies, procedures and training material within retail operations to drive continuous improvement across retail loss and cost lines. Key capabilities- Operational expert with experience managing store operations within a multi-site food retail business- Experience managing multiple lines within a complex retail P&L at a divisional or national level with a proven track record of delivering significant year on year improvements across multiple areas- Subject matter expert in cash and cost management- Ability to interpret, analyse and present large complex data sets to financial and non-financial stakeholders- Ability to influence senior business leaders - Proven track record of cross functional working within a support centre environment- Microsoft office expertise with intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills- Excellent presentational skills and experience delivering presentations to large audiences
