SuperScribe, LLC, based in Atlanta, GA, is the south’s premiere scribe staffing, training, and management company for hospitals, physician groups, and clinics. Our mission is to maximize your emergency department, group, and/or clinics’ productivity and profitability through the use of scribes. With the introduction and implementation of the electronic medical record, scribes are fast becoming a national concept.Scribes serve as personal clerical assistants to a physician throughout his or her shift. Their primary responsibility is too thoroughly and accurately document patients’ medical records. Scribes accompany their assigned physician into each patient room to record the medical history and physical exam findings. Upon leaving the room it is the scribes’ responsibility to track and document all laboratory and radiology studies, alerting their physician to when everything is completed for each patient. They also look up pertinent past medical records, and record medications given, procedures and treatments performed, responses to therapy, and family and physician consultations.
