ABOUT KATIE GREEN

Katie Green (She/Her) is an artist, educator, entrepreneur, and community connector with 15+ years experience building creative businesses and organizations. As a consultant and coach, Katie builds boxes for others to think outside of, designing frameworks, organizations and programs that support people to explore their individual and collective potential. She seeks to build organizations that meet people where they\'re at, inspiring agency, autonomy and resilience. A proud generalist with deep curiosity, Katie holds expertise in supporting social purpose leaders and growing organizations to find clarity and purpose alignment, operational and financial systems development, succession planning, change management, building reciprocal relationships, crisis and conflict management, and community-centered business design. She is the co-founder and previous Executive Director of inPath, a non-profit organization that nurtures Indigenous youth and artists through arts-based learning, job skills training, and mentorship. Under her leadership, inPath grew to $3.5M in annual diversified revenue, working with 120+ nations, 90+ artists, 22 full-time staff and thousands of youth participants across Turtle Island. Having the opportunity to scale an organization allowed Katie to build skills, templates and tools that are human-centered, culturally responsive and grounded in community wellbeing. Katie holds a BFA in Art Education and Psychology and an MA in Arts Education from Concordia University, and an MBA in Sustainable Innovation from the University of Victoria’s Gustavson School of Business. She also sits on the Board of Directors of CARFAC National, the national voice of Canada’s professional visual artists, and Copyright Visual Arts (COVA-DAAV), working to support the creation of better futures for artists today and for generations to come. Katie is of settler descent with English, Scottish, and Irish ancestry. She grew up in Treaty 13 territory (Mississauga, Ontario) and spent 20 years living in Tio\'tia:ke (Montréal, Quebec). Katie currently resides on the lands of the lək̓ʷəŋən Peoples – the Songhees, Esquimalt and WSÁNEĆ communities (Victoria, BC). Katie feels most at home anywhere that she can dip her feet in water, be encompassed by the sounds of the forest and sit around a crackling fire while staring up at stars that reach as far as the eye can see.
