About Katie Glessner
I am a passionate, dedicated HR professional with a focus on strategic partnership, talent acquisition and people development. I was presented an offer to join athenahealth in 2008 when the company first opened its doors in Belfast, Maine and tasked with figuring out how to hire top talent and grow this office to around 100 folks to start. Well, fast forward 10 years later and we are just shy of incredibly talented people in the small town of Belfast who support all aspects of the work we do. Yes, While my scope has changed over the years, most recently with a shift into an HRBP function, at the core of it I am focused on the people. Everything from hiring the right fit to creating and fostering an engaging culture and developing talent is where my passion lies. The people make athena an amazing place to work and I consider it an absolute privilege to partner with this greater team every day.This is the most fast paced and challenging environment I have ever worked in - but I laugh every day, I get to be myself and I am truly empowered to make decisions which has allowed me to have a positive impact on the business and the people.
