ABOUT KATIE ELLSWORTH
Associate-Owner and Pharmacist at Shoppers Drug Mart in Moncton, New Brunswick. I graduated from Dalhousie with Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPharm) in 2016, as well as in 2012 and 2010 from UNB Saint John (MSc and BSc in Biology). My masters program focused on research of the early stages of drug discovery and finding new bioactive compounds from traditionally used medicinal plants which led into pursuing a career in pharmacy where I enjoy being able to help patients with their health and medications. As a pharmacist I have significant experience with Opioid Agonist Therapy and enjoy working with this population, as well as I am a Certified Diabetic Educator and enjoy helping patients understand their diabetes and succeed in reaching their goals. Recently I have taken on a new role as Associate-Owner and Pharmacy Manager at Shoppers Drug Mart in Moncton and I am looking forward to the new challenge of pharmacy and business management.
