ABOUT KATIE DUBIENSKI
University of Winnipeg Graduate in Urban and Inner City Studies. 8+ years experience in the hospitality and retail industry and now 7+ years working in the charitable and non for profit sector. A diverse volunteer background with experience in PR, communications and event planning. I enjoy working as part of a diverse team where creativity and leadership are encouraged. Passion for travel, cooking, making connections, design and getting outside. I have basic conversational skills in American Sign Language and have a number of years’ experience with deaf, deaf-blind and hard of hearing individuals including family members. I have also been immersed in the learning disability community and have worked with children with Cerebral Palsy. In addition, I have grown up in a household that works closely in the non-profit sector, specifically in the areas of arts for inner city youth and deaf and deaf-blind people. I thrive when I get to meet new people and share stories. My passion for travel and adventure as led me to all corners of the world including Peru, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, South Africa and more.
