She has interviewed executives, industry experts, and more and specializes in translating complex subject matter into high-quality, digestible content for audiences.Most recently, Katie was the editor of Hearst\'s Austin Daily, a new newsletter brand that represented the media juggernaut\'s foray into the local news market. Before that, Katie wrote for Milk Road, a crypto newsletter founded by Shaan Puri (My First Million) that is counted among other newsletter success stories like The Hustle and Morning Brew. Before joining Milk Road, Katie was a founding member of Incrypto, Morning Brew\'s decentralization-focused newsletter that published twice a week.Katie covered technology, business, real estate, and Silicon Valley culture for nearly five years prior to that at Business Insider. During her time there, Katie covered, on-site, the COVID-19 pandemic and shutdown in San Francisco, Calif, and the devastating 2018 Camp Fire wildfire in Paradise.She has moderated panels at live events, including SXSW and Consensus. Katie graduated from Texas A&M University in 2017 before calling San Francisco home for three years. She now lives in Austin, Texas.
