About Katie Brubaker

I’m a student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham pursuing a degree in Healthcare Management while also enrolled in the Fast-Track Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program. My experiences in leadership, community service, and pediatric development have shaped who I am as a student and future healthcare professional. In the past, I’ve volunteered in pediatric rehabilitation settings and worked in various preschool settings, where I learned how to adapt, collaborate, and support children’s growth in different environments. Currently, I am pursuing my undergraduate degree while holding leadership positions in the Pre-Occupational Therapy Society and Delight Ministries at UAB. I enjoy getting involved in programs, building connections with others, and finding ways to support children’s development both inside and outside of clinical settings. After graduation, I hope to become an Early Childhood Intervention Occupational Therapist, using my education and experiences to help children gain independence and reach their full potential.
