Conduct voiding trials to assess a patient’s ability to urinate independently without a catheter• Perform post-void residuals to further evaluate bladder emptying by determining the remaining urinevolume after urination• Prepare and assist on numerous procedures incl. vasectomies, genital wart removals, cystoscopies, stent removals, bladder biopsies, transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsies• Manage suprapubic and foley catheter changes or removals; remove ureteral stents; drain nephrostomytubes; and teach patients on how to self-intermittent catheterize• Perform UroCuff testing on patients to measure voiding pressure and assess the reasoning behind voidingdisorders with the ordering provider• Administer medications and injections in patients prior to procedures, as part of treatment course, and for patient education purposes• Educate patients on inpatient and outpatient procedures, incl. preoperative medication restrictions, pre-surgical testing, and postoperative recovery expectations orders for patient per provider’s consent, and providing direct patient care (rooming, medical history collection, obtaining vitals, conducting voiding trials and post-void residuals)
