ABOUT KATIE HART

My name is Katie Hart, and I am a Senior at Indiana University Bloomington studying Business Informatics. Originally from the Chicagoland area, I am working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics with a specialization in Business. I’m excited about the opportunities ahead as I continue to develop both technical and interpersonal skills. This summer, I’ve had the opportunity to intern with The Magnificent Mile Association in Chicago, where I’ve led several strategic and operational initiatives that support one of the city’s most iconic commercial districts. I spearheaded the simplification of the organization\'s complex membership dues structure and developed a trademark monetization strategy to better protect and leverage the “Magnificent Mile” brand. I also optimized CRM workflows in HubSpot, contributed to event coordination for the annual gala, managed event listings through MemberClicks, supported member outreach, and updated digital content. This experience has strengthened my skills in research, communication, and collaboration while deepening my understanding of nonprofit operations and brand management. Reflecting on my academic and professional experiences, I have consistently demonstrated proactivity, adaptability, and strong communication. Through various web design projects, I’ve sharpened my ability to analyze complex problems and work with diverse teams. My current role as a waitress at Da Vinci Pizza and Pasta has further emphasized the importance of organization, multitasking, and time management in fast-paced environments. Upon graduating in 2026, I aim to leverage my skills to drive operational efficiency and sustainability. I recently worked on a project developing a meal planning app focused on food security and consumer awareness which reflects my passion for using technology to create meaningful, real-world impact.
