ABOUT KATIE ADAMS

ACA qualified account, with 10 years’ experience of working across External Audit, Financial Reporting, Management Accounts and Finance Business Partnering.As a Finance Business Lead, I lead multiple projects with a broad range of requirements/work-streams, collaborating with senior stakeholders, lead project teams and deliver business focused results aligning to strategic imperatives.Across all my roles I have led on staff development/training initiatives, and am committed to cross-skilling teams and continuous improvement. I have passion for organising charity led team-building events, having organised Welsh 3 Peaks, Relay of the Welsh Coastal Path and PBS’s 1st virtual fundraising event – a 24 Zwift Cycling Relay (plus many more!). In co-ordinating these events I love to see colleagues developing transferable skillsets they can bring back to work and developing new and lasting relationships with previously unknown colleagues. Raised over for local welsh charities. Outside of work I compete in Powerlifting, Marathons and Half-Ironman’s (my ultimate goal is to be able to do a powerlifting competition and an endurance event on the same day!). These activities have allowed me to develop a ‘feel the fear… and do it anyway’ mentality, and I love to write about the transferable skills these activities can bring to the workplace.
