ABOUT KATHY TALLY

After completing an undergraduate degree in teaching (BSE), I completed an MS in Educational Technology with a focus on pedagogy as the driver and integrating technology tools to support students\' achievement of learning outcomes. I have enjoyed working in higher education as a program administrator, f2f and online adjunct faculty, trainer, presenter, and educational technologist. After completing my master\'s degree in educational technology, and completing certification training with Quality Matters in quality assurance for online courses as a Facilitator and Master Reviewer, I have sought out opportunities to share my passion for education and support and educate faculty in the uses of technology to increase learner engagement.I continue to do consulting for colleges, universities, and organizations across the country with my full-time work as a designer, developer, and Professional Development Specialist for Quality Matters, a national benchmark for online/blended course design and program review.My passion for pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy, is evident as I prepare and present across the country to encourage schools to adopt and subscribe to Quality Matters and implement the QM Rubric Standards, while sharing my knowledge regarding implementation of emerging technologies and seasoned tools that increase rigor, relevance, relationships, and improve learner engagement in the world of online and hybrid education. I have added two additional \"Rs\" in my schema for online and blended education, reality and risk.
