ABOUT KATHYRN BURTON

Kathyrn Burton is a 35 year veteran of the Hospitality Industry. Kathyrn is described by her peers, colleagues, financial stakeholders, and clients as a passionate, strategic, dedicated, driven Hospitality professional with expertise in both Sales and Marketing and Operations of Select and Full Service Branded and Independent Hotels and Conference Centers. Kathyrn approaches each day with laser focus on driving company culture, market share, guest satisfaction (both internal and external), revenue, and profitability. Kathyrn’s professional affiliations include accreditation as a Certified Hotel Administrator since 2005 through the American Hotel and Lodging Association, as well as being a 2007 graduate from Leadership Columbus. Kathyrn also graduated from the IAHI Global Leadership Institute in 2010 from the Emory Executive Education Institute at the Goizueta Business School. Kathyrn is a Certified Tourism Ambassador for the Greater Columbus region. She has proudly served as Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Hotel and Lodging Association, and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, as well as The Ohio State University Hospitality Management and the Bradford School Advisory Board. Kathyrn was recognized as GM of the Year in Columbus, Ohio by the Ohio Hotel and Lodging Association in 2009 and was recognized nationally as General Manager of the Year for the Crowne Plaza Brand in 2010. Kathyrn was also awarded Columbus Hospitality\'s Spirit of Hospitality Award for General Manager of the Year in 2013.Kathyrn currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Columbus Hospitality Management. She has been employed by Columbus Hospitality for the past 23 years, and feels the culture and humanistic nature of the company truly makes it her perfect home for her career in the exciting world of hospitality.
