WORK HISTORY

Accounting Systems Analyst @Delicato Family Wines

View department →

My most important priority is to support, assist, and train the accounting department. On all applications that are used in our group, from Excel to Outlook and SAP to registering for a user group. To answer questions on all software and applications used in day to day business processes. The majority of questions centered on SAP and excel. This responsibility presents a wonderful opportunity to continue adding to my expertise and understanding of the tools used in Finance. If I don\'t know the exact answer, I am comfortable on the internet to discover solutions shared by other users at other companies and apply those solutions in our finance group.

ABOUT KATHY PEERS

I am now starting my fourth year as a permanent employee at Delicato Family Vineyards. Count my 17 months as a temp here and my total continous service at DFV is four years and five months. My role and responsibilities have evolved over this time and SAP continues to be the system I work in everyday. SAP is the system I use everyday to find information, to use to improve analysis and categorizing data, and to grow and learn new functionality and look for best practice solutions. I have trained ten or more coworkers over the years at DFV on SAP and enjoyed watching their successes as they increased their skills. Recently I too have increased my knowledge as DFV starting executing new processes in Sales resulting in new business practices and document flows. IDocs, new complicated intercompany relationships, new to production ECP and its impact on posting payroll to the general ledger. I am seeing other business process changes that press and test our current SAP structure for more complicated reporting requirements. As DFV grows, changes, and moves itself forward to stay market sharp competitive, so must our SAP application. When one thinks through all that is required for vines to produce grapes, for grapes to be harvested and made into wine, for the wine being bottled and packaged, to the marketing and sale af the wine, and finally for the wine to be opened at a table to be served and enjoyed with family and friends, it is amazing to think most of those steps are represented in SAP.
