She attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC where she was awarded a scholarship and travelled with the Women\'s Collegiate Golf Team. She then transferred to Wilmington University in Ohio, majoring in Secondary Education, and receiving honors from the English Department for her writing ability.
