I am an experienced business and HR leader at organizations in the financial services, government, and technology industries, including my current role as Chief Human Resources Officer at Delta Dental. I am recognized as a people-and culture-first leader with a track record of achieving business results and advancing our mission where we believe everyone deserves a healthy smile.I also have the honor to serve the HR profession in my new role as the Human Resource Certification Institute\'s Board Chair and am a certified Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Earlier in my career, I was an item writer for HRCI and assisted in the development of ISO standards for HR.With a passion for Tech and Tech start-ups, I also serve on the board of the Roanoke Blacksburg Innovation Alliance, which advances technology and biotechnology throughout the region. My current focus area is RAMP the region\'s tech start-up accelerator. Shout out to dental tech start-up \"DentAi\".I am a frequent speaker at the World HRD Congress in Mumbai, India, where I was recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Global Leaders in Asia. Through my travels, I became a proud supporter of the Aasha Foundation (https://aashafoundation.org/), an NGO in Mumbai, that helps to support girls and young women. As a student of global workplaces and cultures, I have been invited to participate in executive human resources delegations throughout the Asia Pacific region, Cuba, and South Africa.
