About Kathy Rowings

I love bringing people together who don\'t normally interact, when a conversation I\'m in leads to someone saying,\"I\'ve never thought of it that way,\" and sharing successes so everyone can learn from them. I\'ve been lucky to manage projects that let me do all of these things for the past 10 years, with a current focus on helping local leaders improve the ways in which their justice and behavioral health systems serve their residents. Some of my favorite skills include- Designing and building a program from the ground up, improving it along the way, and using lessons learned to make the next project even better - Managing partnerships and personalities to ensure strong, lasting collaborations - Using storytelling in multiple formats to share successes and highlight impacts - Designing reporting and tracking systems that meet project compliance requirements but are also user friendly - Communicating with stakeholders at all levels, from federal funders to nonprofit partners to grant recipients and community members
