About Kathleen Quinn
Some careers have a through line. Mine is this: figure out what actually moves people, then build something that does. I’ve done that work across a range of industries and contexts, from leading marketing at NutraSweet through international expansion to shaping customer strategy and change management for Capital One, building brand and growth programs for clients like Coca-Cola, and working with organizations where the stakes are measured in more than market share. A significant part of my work sits at the intersection of strategic communications and public health, particularly programs that serve military and veteran communities. That includes behavior change campaigns for VA suicide prevention, expanding access to military-informed mental healthcare, and firearm safety initiatives designed with deep respect for veteran culture. These aren’t awareness plays. They’re strategic programs built to shift behavior, build trust, and produce real outcomes. What I bring to leadership teams is a combination that doesn’t always come together naturally: the commercial discipline to build brands and grow revenue, and the judgment to operate effectively in complex, high-stakes environments where tone and trust matter. I work with founders, executives, and mission-driven leaders who need someone who can think clearly under pressure, shape the right message, and help move important work forward.
Experience
Chief Strategist
Jan 2022 — Present
The clients and partners I work with are usually trying to do something that genuinely matters. My role is to help them do it in a way that is credible, effective, and built to hold up in the real world. At MARCH, I lead strategy across a range of complex, high-stakes areas: military and veteran health, behavioral health, suicide prevention, public health campaigns, and mission-driven communications. I help organizations figure out what they\'re really trying to say, who they need to say it to, and how to say it in a way that builds trust instead of eroding it.That work requires equal parts strategic thinking and cultural fluency. Getting the tone wrong, or misjudging what an audience will find credible, can set a program back significantly. I help clients avoid those mistakes before they happen.
