After twenty years in operation, a self-styled sabbatical, and the 2012 reopening of my legal career counseling practice, Under Advisement, I continue to enjoy my work as a well known advisor to lawyers and law students.whether they are looking for a new job, a new career path in or beyond the legal profession, or want to perform their current and future roles more effectively. I am proud to be the sole legal careers advisor belonging to the invitation-only Forbes Coaches Council. Working confidentially with individuals, whether paid by them or by the employer or law school, I am available to guide and counsel people in-person, by telephone, or via video web call. I also help law firms and legal departments solve their workplace issues through affordable, novel approaches, and am the creator of an impact project, the Legal Profession PREP Class, which examines what practice readiness really entails-from the perspective of those who work in the field-and ways law schools can better ready their students for success in the profession.
