Team Lizzie Bell is dedicated to raising awareness about the seven pediatric populations constantly needing donations of blood and/or marrow and the advancement of research in Pediatric Hematology.Having visited some of the best medical centers in the country I am reminded the most critical life-saving medical equipment, staff, healthcare engagement and medicine cannot support life when there is not donated blood and/or blood products. With the #1 recipient of donated blood being the premature baby we know these children cannot wait for something we cannot buy. Team Lizzie Bell is known for assisting first time blood donors to give the gift of life by hosting a first blood drive, or getting a school or business involved to support a drive and/or creating awareness around a person or group of people who need donated blood. if everyone who is eligible to donate blood donated ONE time per year we would change the state of our blood donation centers across the country. Team Lizzie Bell assists in these endeavors creating awareness and drives for those Pediatric Patients who must receive constant blood donations. Additionally, research in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and marrow transplant are very important to Team Lizzie Bell.
