This is more joy than work. I am participating in the SPCA of Monterey County’s Doggy Day Out program. I “check out” a dog for a partial day and provide social experiences for the dog in order to reduce shelter stress. I am able to go for walks, hang at the beach, stroll through the outdoor mall, or grab a book hang in the park with the dog snuggled up beside me. What could be better than that?
