ABOUT KATHY MCFARLAND TAYLOR
With over 14 years of work experience in various roles, I am a passionate and skilled change engagement manager at Brigham Young University, where I have been working since March 2023. I am also a Prosci® certified change practitioner, and I have completed a human resources management program at the University of Utah. I have a strong background in presentation skills, as I have delivered multiple presentations to various audiences, including senior leaders, faculty, staff, and students. I have also developed and implemented change management strategies and plans for several projects, such as Program Granite, a university-wide transformation initiative. In addition, I have been serving as the financial secretary and HR coordinator at BYU since August 2019, where I manage the budget, payroll, hiring, and training processes for the department. Furthermore, I am the president and founder of Mind the Gap Worldwide, a nonprofit organization that aims to bridge the gap for people living without basic necessities, such as water, food, clothing, shelter, education, and health care. I have been leading this organization since October 2014, and I have overseen various fundraising, awareness, and service activities. My core competencies include change management, project management, communication, collaboration, and leadership. I am driven by the mission of creating positive and lasting change in the world, and I am always eager to learn new skills and knowledge. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to any team or organization, and I value diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of my work.
