About Kathy del Beccaro
I am an urban planner with a background in housing affordability and homelessness solutions, community and economic development, and organizational strategic planning. Racial equity planning is the throughline of all my work. I have spent over eight years contributing to the evolution of equitable practices in the fields of research, place-based development and programs, and non-profit management. As a researcher at Urbane, I have developed subject matter expertise in community ownership and wealth building, small business ecosystems, economic mobility for entrepreneurs and workers, and job quality. I design and lead field-building research that advances our understanding of these topics for players in the field including philanthropic, government, and non-profit leaders. I also lead place-based research, community engagement, and strategy development for projects that empower residents, entrepreneurs, and workers economically and culturally. I feel lucky to have been able to work on many such exciting projects, which are listed below.
