ABOUT KATHY BURSTEIN

I am the Chief Communications Officer for Mike Caruso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Palm Beach County. I\'m a South Florida native who loves supporting local nonprofit groups that help our community. I\'m proud to serve on the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, the Board of Governors for Leadership Palm Beach County, and on the advancement committee for Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies of Palm Beach County. I also carve out time to volunteer with the PTSA and soccer team at Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach.Prior to becoming Chief Communications Officer for the Clerk\'s office, I served as media relations specialist, communications manager and communications director for the School District of Palm Beach County, the nation\'s 10th largest school district. Before moving into the government communications world, I was a reporter for the Sun-Sentinel for nearly 13 years. I covered a variety of beats as a reporter and several awards, including a first-place honor from the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors for business reporting.
