As the Communications Manager at Loyola Medicine, I am responsible for internal communications and media relations for Loyola University Medical Center, MacNeal Hospital and Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. Working closely with physicians, leadership, press and community partners, my passion lies in crafting compelling health care stories. My day includes writing scripts, speeches and announcements for our CEO, hospital Presidents and executives ensuring our messaging reflects our Catholic health care values and supports our branding goals. Collaboration with our social media, marketing and web teams is vital to my role, as is securing local and national media coverage for our work, highlighting our clinical programs and experts, community engagement and compelling patient stories. Deliverables I am responsible for include: Loyola Medicine’s weekly colleague newsletter, Loyola University Medical Center\'s monthly physician newsletter, content on Loyola Medicine’s intranet site, press releases, announcements, technology and logistics messaging, event planning and promotion, press conferences and media coverage. I am also part of our Leadership Forum and Colleague Engagement Committee which is focused on promoting a culture of engagement and colleague recognition within our organization.
