As Director of the UMass Innovation Institute at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I focus on fostering collaboration between academia and industry to drive impactful innovation and economic growth. At the UMass Innovation Institute, I lead efforts to streamline industry-sponsored research, facilitate contract processes, and build strong partnerships between researchers and industry leaders. With a commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration, I strive to enable projects that benefit both the university and the broader community, while driving technological advancements to address global challenges.I also manage our incubator space at our Charles River Campus which is open for spin in and spin out companies from UMass Amherst. These companies not only utilize our labs but hire our students and commit to working with our faculty on research projects.
