About Kathryn Kate Rubino
As a full-time college student working multiple part-time jobs, I find real value in working hard both inside and outside the classroom. Whether I’m managing the biology labs, preparing students for their SATs/ACTs or general math/chemistry courses, planning cultural events as President of Sigma Delta Pi, or hunched over my computer in the library studying for my own exams, I’m always learning from the people around me (whether it be professors, my fellow students, or strangers). I find purpose in helping others understand the world — whether through science, language, or a good laugh — and that\'s the passion I want to share in my dream job as a Chemical Engineer developing innovative car paints or advancing hybrid engine technology. In essence, the world could be viewed as a finely tuned engine: each part contributing to a greater system that runs on understanding, collaboration, and purpose. If I had the blessing to choose my own role, I\'d be the spark plug that ignites the fuel.Although I’m a STEM student with a deep love for chemistry who can hold a professional discussion over a revolutionary scientific paper, I’m also the person who can debate for hours about Formula 1 strategy, car modifications, performance engines, and which supercar best captures the feeling of freedom you get when coasting down an open highway. I’m fascinated by how mechanical systems and chemical processes intersect to create innovation, and I’m eager to bring that curiosity to the automotive industry through hands-on internship experience. To me, cars aren\'t just about horsepower — it’s about chemistry, precision, and the artistry behind performance. Choosing a car, its model, color, and design feels like self-expression; it’s scientific ideas meeting identity and impact.Fluent in both scientific detail and real-world connection, I bridge analytical thinking with communication and collaboration. I value curiosity, teamwork, and humor — and I aim to make every environment I’m part of operate more efficiently, accelerate progress, and inspire others to enjoy the ride.
