The Director of Health Promotion is responsible for directing the health policy and partnership strategies for the district to adhere to federal, state, and local policy requirements and promote a culture of health. The Director of Health Promotion oversees a team of context experts responsible for developing and evaluating policy implementation under the Healthy CPS initiative and in alignment with the Whole School, Whole Community, and Whole Child (WSCC) model. The scope of the Health Promotion Team work includes: school wellness, physical activity, school gardens, healthy food access, chronic conditions management, sexual health education, sexual health services, safe and supportive environments for LGBTQ+ individuals, and mental health. The Director of Health Promotion reports to the Executive Director of the OSHW. The Chief Health Officer and Deputy Chief, of the Office of Student Health & Wellness provide high-level leadership.
