About Kathryn Costello
I am junior at the University of Connecticut working towards my BS in Molecular and Cell Biology on the pre-med track. I have a breadth of experience in customer service where I have developed skills in adaptability, strong verbal communication and teamwork. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to travel to Peru for 14 days to provide care for those who did not have access or could not afford. Through this experience, I gained not only medical knowledge but a new perspective on life. I am also currently an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Dr. John Salamone\'s Behavioral Neuroscience Laboratory. Through this experience, I’ve gained valuable hands-on training in behavioral research methods, animal handling, and teamwork. It has also deepened my passion for research and knowledge of behavioral neuroscience. I hope to further develop all of these skills while growing in these experiences as I continue pursuing my Molecular and Cell Biology degree.
