About Kathryn Klein
Overview: As a third-year Neuroscience B.S. candidate at the University at Buffalo, I am passionate about the intricate workings of the human mind and its holistic connection to overall health. This passion is further bolstered by my minor in Nutrition – a field that underpins many facets of health, and my micro-credential in Child Advocacy Studies, spotlighting my dedication to understanding and advocating for the youngest members of our society. Extracurriculars/Outside Work: Outside the rigors of neuroscience, I actively immerse myself in educational roles, leading as a 7th-grade Religion Teacher and assisting with 10th-grade religion classes. My leadership extends to the university setting as the lead teaching assistant for NSG250 - Human Growth and Development, emphasizing the nuances of human growth and development, a critical component of the medical journey. Service and community are integral to my approach to medicine. Through my internship at the university\'s Newman Center, and leadership in alternative break service trips, I champion initiatives that echo the very ethos of holistic patient care. Complementing my educational pursuits are my memberships in APMS and PMWB, platforms where future physicians collaborate, and my role at Windsong Radiology Group, bridging academic learning with real-world medical practice. What\'s Next : The next phase in my journey unfolds in Spring 2024, as I embark on a biomedical adventure at the University of Groningen, diving deeper into medical sciences and spearheading meaningful pre-medical research. This opportunity encapsulates my continuous strive for excellence in medicine. I am driven by the interconnection of neuroscience, nutrition, child advocacy, and medicine. As I continue to expand my horizons, I eagerly seek collaborations and experiences that resonate with the mission to improve patient care, one multidisciplinary step at a time.
