I am a licensed clinical social worker in NY, NJ, CT, FL, SC & NV and the Director of Eating Disorder and Body Image Services at Turn the Mind, a DBT private practice that provides comprehensive mental health care to individuals and groups. I use a harm reduction and trauma informed approaches and am trained in EMDR, DBT and IFS modalities. I have over seven years of experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations with clients who struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image issues, neurodivergence, addiction, and trauma, as well as those who identify as LGBTQ+ or engage in sex-positive, kink, and BDSM non-traditional relationships.My mission is to empower my clients to heal from their pain, reconnect with their authentic selves, and live a fulfilling life. I use a non-judgmental and collaborative approach that incorporates evidence-based techniques, such as dialectical behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and motivational interviewing, as well as acceptance & commitment therapy and psychoeducation. I also design and implement training programs, supervision sessions, and quality improvement initiatives for the eating disorder staff, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to best practices in ED care. I am passionate about creating a comfortable, safe, and inclusive space for my clients and colleagues, where they can feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.
