ABOUT KATHRYN EDWARDS
With over 20 years of experience in education and the private sector, I am a seasoned Independent Consultant at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), the largest regional educational agency in the country. I leverage my expertise in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) to support the 80 school districts and 1.5 million students that LACOE serves, by researching, planning, coordinating, and developing initiatives that value and prioritize EDI both internally and externally. My mission is to address the needs of underserved children, families, and communities, and to promote cross-cultural awareness and responsiveness among educators, administrators, and students. I have a proven track record of leading professional development, making policy recommendations, and facilitating stakeholder engagement to advance EDI in educational settings. I also have a strong background in the technology sector, where I worked on sales, marketing, and business development projects for leading companies such as Apple, IBM, and Sun Microsystems. I am passionate about creating a more equitable and inclusive society through education.
