Kathryn effectively grew up in the cannabis industry, starting as a trimmer in 2008. She is an industry expert with extensive experience in the vertically integrated market. Kathryn is best known as the first Metrc (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance) consultant in the United States, helping Franwell and the cannabis industry get to know each other and shape the function you see in the platform to date. Since 2013, she has been helping cannabis businesses navigate regulations and ensure compliance, playing a critical role in developing the cannabis compliance consultancy industry. Kathryn has been a speaker at numerous conferences and has been featured in publications such as Forbes and Marijuana Business Daily. Her expertise in operational compliance has helped businesses improve their operations and avoid costly penalties. In 2015, she moved into compliance and operations, helping many businesses from cultivation, manufacturing, and retail, even consulting with many well-known ancillary companies, such as LeafLink, FlowHub, GreenBits, Simplifya, and CannaRegs, to name a few, as they got their start in the legal cannabis market.
