ABOUT KATHRYN ALEONG
A Canadian Foreign Service executive with a specialty in international trade. Half of Kathryn\'s career with Global Affairs Canada was spent serving Canada in its diplomatic missions abroad and one of its regional offices in Canada. The diversity of her career included managing projects on change management and continuous improvement in the Trade Commissioner Service of Canada, coordinating and managing a multitude of aspects on three major international conferences hosted by Canada, media relations, international business development in sector specific portfolios, managing departmental secretariat operations for the small and medium-sized enterprises advisory board to the Minister of International Trade and an internal senior management governance board, and managing the team, operations and programs for a Canadian consulate abroad and the department\'s Atlantic Regional Office.
