About Kathrine E. Wright
Greetings! I\'m Dr. Kathrine Wright, a dedicated public health professional currently serving as the Health Equity Evaluator for the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health\'s Health Equity Unit. I initially joined the CDC Foundation in 2021 as the Food Security Coordinator for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Food Security. In 2020, I proudly earned my Ph.D. in public health from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a specialization in social and behavioral health. My doctoral research delved into the cultural aspects of food insecurity, emphasizing the significance of cultural foods in shaping identity and well-being. Complementing my doctorate, I hold a Master of Public Health degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, both from Michigan State University. My approach to research is rooted in community-based participatory methods. Exploring topics such as food and water insecurity, food justice, sustainability, and inclusive food systems, I\'m passionate about driving positive change. Let\'s connect if you share interests in public health, equitable food systems, and collaborative research!#PublicHealth #HealthEquity #Researcher #CommunityEngagement #FoodJustice #LinkedInNetworking
