About Kathlyne Sawicki

I love uncovering what makes people tick.I’ve always been curious as to what drives people’s thoughts and behaviors. Growing up, I would drive my parents crazy because I would constantly ask “why”. Throughout my life my deep curiosity and passion for learning has been my greatest strength and is what has ultimately led me to a career in UX Research.With extensive UX research experience, I focus on conducting user research (e.g. diary studies, in-depth interviews, usability studies, card sorting) to understand user motivations, needs, and pain points. Using these insights, I collaboratively work with cross-functional partners (data scientists, engineers, designers, and product managers) to guide product strategy, design, and fundamentally improve the user experience.My love for UX research stems from my early roles in customer service, where I learned that I really enjoyed talking to customers to understand their needs and pain points and realized I wanted to find ways to not only resolve issues, but implement change! Fast forward a few years later, where everything clicked after attending my first Design Thinking workshop taught by IDEO. I not only learned about the existence of the human-centered design process but it also helped me realize I really enjoyed the research aspect of it.My willingness to tackle hairy challenges, ability to see opportunities in white space, positive attitude, aptitude for growth, and collaboration orientation are qualities that set me apart. I’m extremely organized, can get along with anyone, and am known as the person that can get things done.
