The series is based on the award-winning travel magazine/membership site I founded 22 years years ago. My greatest passions in life are Italy and presenting great information in new and innovative ways, oh and. dogs, definitely dogs are my other great passion! The *200+* issues of Dream of Italy, covering what to do, where to stay, who to meet (we love the locals), and what to eat in every corner of Italy, make up the largest online resource for authentic Italy travel advice. Dream of Italy has been recommended by National Geographic Traveler, USA TODAY, BusinessWeek, U.S. News + World Report and many others. The Dream of Italy Podcast debuted in 2019 and has been recommended by The New York Times. I began my journalism career at ABC News where I was part of an Emmy Award-winning investigative team. The first season of the Dream of Italy TV series premiered on PBS stations around the country in May 2015 and is still airing. I was profiled in The New York Times in June 2015. Season two - including a very special episode on Basilicata with Francis Ford Coppola - premiered on PBS in January 2018 and is still airing. The special Dream of Italy: Under The Tuscan Sun premiered on PBS in August 2019! And the blockbuster Dream of Italy: Travel, Transform and Thrive special/pledge special premiered on PBS June 2021 starring Sting & Trudie Styler. I am also the author of the 276-page companion book to the special. Season 3 of the TV series premieres December 2023 and my new series Dream of Europe premieres in 2025.
