About Kathleen Purtill
I am a Principal in Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice and a former US Navy officer with more than 20 years of experience in government consulting focusing on delivering enterprise transformation primarily to government clients. I currently lead Deloitte’s civil government sector, which encompasses a wide range of clients including but not limited to the Department of Commerce, Department of State, US Postal Service and US Agency for International Development. As the former leader of Deloitte’s US Navy account for nearly 10 years, I managed a portfolio of high-profile projects, including supporting the Navy as it prepares for its first ever audit, and implementing cutting-edge digital technology to redesign its supply chain to deliver mission-critical supplies to warfighters in austere environments. I also assisted the Navy as it redesigned, transformed and modernized its entire employment and talent model for the first time in over 70 years. I earned my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Villanova University and had the fortune to return to Villanova to teach Leadership and Ethics while also earning my Master’s in Business Administration. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids, volunteering with their Girl Scout troops, coaching their soccer teams, and being active. I’m also an avid runner and enjoy anything and everything to do with the outdoors. When not spending free time with my family, I’m passionate about mentoring veterans transitioning out of the military – something close to my heart as a veteran myself.
