About Kathleen Nero

I am currently a student at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, majoring in Finance and International Business with a minor in Spanish. I am goal oriented with strong leadership and organizational skills. Throughout my high school career at St. Dominic, leadership and community service became a staple in my life. I served my community through the St. Louis Crisis Nursery for over 300 hours. I was able to care for children and families undergoing a crisis and lend a helping hand. I also led my local school community as the National Honors Society President, Spanish club officer, Peer Minister, and varsity captain of the swim team. Managing all of these leadership roles and rigorous academics simultaneously, taught me time management and organizational skills. These amazing opportunities enabled me to achieve my goals of graduating as the Valedictorian of the class of 2021 and attending the Kelley School of Business.As a student at the Kelley School of Business, I am currently engaging with my school and community through multiple organizations on campus. I am a proud mentor in College Mentors for Kids, where I meet with my little buddy from a local elementary school weekly to serve as a positive role model in her life. I am also on the consulting and social committee for Pi Sigma Epsilon. As a selected member of the consulting committee, I am working alongside six students to create a competitive marketing strategy for a local music producer. Recently, I was elected as the Chief Officer of Professional Development for Women & Co. In this position I have developed a database of resources for over 100 women that include cover letters, resumes, email templates, and recruiting tools, while leading workshops to enhance professionalism across the organization.My ideal work environment is an engaging, encouraging, and collaborative workspace. I am interested in exploring different careers in finance through internship opportunities to expand my technical skills and strengths.
