About Kathleen Kittrick

As the Senior Director of State Tax Policy at Verizon, I have been advocating for tax policy issues important to the company and our customers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. This role involves close alignment with Verizon’s Tax team and State Government Affairs group to develop tax policies that allow for continued broadband investment while protecting our customers from discriminatory or egregious taxes and fees. The work involves developing coalitions, educating policymakers, participating in conferences and tax review commissions to advance policy imperatives and legislation. I have a strong background in strategic planning, public relations, and strategic communications, which I have applied in my previous roles as Director of External Affairs at AT & T and Cingular Wireless. In these roles, I was responsible for landline and wireless legislative and regulatory issues, and all state and local legislative advocacy for all things wireless in various states. I am passionate about advancing Verizon\'s interests and contributing to the development of effective tax policies that benefit both the company and the communities we serve.
