About Kathleen Kern

With over 18 years of executive management experience in behavioral health, I am a certified leader in integrated healthcare who oversees the development and delivery of high-quality services within a federally qualified health center (FQHC) and a county mental health system. My mission is to leverage my skills and expertise in hospital management, grants management, and suicide prevention to have a positive and lasting impact on the health and well-being of the communities I serve.Some of my notable achievements include:(1) increasing the behavioral health services provided to medical patients by 200% and leading the expansion of the medication-assisted treatment program at Lorain County Health & Dentistry,(2) leading the most successful levy campaign in the Lorain County Mental Health Board\'s history, generating $3.6 million in annual revenue, and (3) contributing to Ohio\'s first statewide suicide prevention plan, endorsed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2020. My goal is to return to an executive-level position where I can apply my strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and clinical acumen to address the complex and diverse behavioral health needs of the population.
