ABOUT KATHLEEN KARTJE

Managing Director with over 30 years experience for Willis Towers Watson(\"WTW\"). Devoted her professional career to helping people succeed and achieve their dreams. She’s a nationally recognized leader with extensive expertise in client management, HR strategy/benefits, training, and business development/sales for the Fortune 500. Excels at taking new and innovative solutions to market to solve a company’s business problems and understands the importance of impeccable customer service. Mentored numerous people throughout her career at WTW sharing her insights and perspective on how to become a trusted advisor. Her exemplary understanding of the human element provides her with the ability to motivate and bring people together and would be an asset to any Board. Prior to 2019 was WTW’s North American Head of Large Clients responsible for the overall sales strategy for the large market segment (Fortune 500), served by over 200 WTW client relationship directors. She also managed a team responsible for the development and implementation of client management tools including; training programs, communications, client satisfaction, and governance protocols. She led the development of WTW’s Client Ready training program and served as a frequent speaker at sales and business sector programs. In addition to her management responsibilities served as a Client Relationship Manager for five clients in the Fortune 250 with annual revenues over $60 million and led the sales team for the firm’s largest Medicare Exchange sale. She is a trusted advisor to her clients, and to the leadership team within WTW. Over her 30-year career with Willis Towers Watson served as the Director of Account Management both at the local level in four different offices (Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland and New York) as well as for the Central Division (eight Midwest offices). At Watson Wyatt (predecessor firm merged into WTW) was a member of the firm’s Finance Committee responsible for managing the firm’s assets and benefits plans.Kathleen holds an MS in Communications from Northwestern University. She and her husband Mike (also a NU grad) are members of Northwestern’s Leadership Council. They reside in downtown Chicago and are regular attendees at Northwestern football and basketball games. Both are committed to making Chicago the best city it can be. Kathleen also enjoys reading, baking, traveling, and exercising.
