About Kathleen Herrera McDonald

I devise strategies and build processes for technology transfer (T2) offices to fuel their commercialization pipeline, build internal stakeholder buy-in, and increase deal flow. Drawing from 25 years of experience in federal technology transfer, I use my experience in intellectual property (IP) management, licensing, negotiation, project management, and training to: develop targeted approaches to help T2 offices excel and reach commercialization goals; support industry clients seeking research solutions and collaborations with federal labs; and connect investors with federal research capabilities needed to enhance startup technology offerings. I have a passion for developing proprietary and open source software strategies to maximize impact. I have also developed a cloud-based solution on the Salesforce.com platform for T2 offices that facilitates opportunity and deal flow tracking, IP docketing integration, marketing campaigns, and agreement lifecycle monitoring.
