I’ve been very lucky to do a job I love for over 25 years - creating innovative and effective user experiences across multiple industries and for a wide range of clients. I\'ve worked with large corporations like Citibank, HSBC, UBS, Coca-Cola, American Express, BT and Virgin Media, as well as smaller dotcoms and start-ups.I\'ve developed strong management and leadership skills from my experiences as Head of UX, as Design lead for quite a few large-scale strategic transformation programmes, and as co-founder of a 20+ person agency. I’ve led teams made up of user experience designers, visual designers, copywriters, business analysts, system architects and front and back-end developers.I have in-depth knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, usability, content strategy, and visual design across:• eSales & eCare• Mobile/Responsive design• Banking & Trading platforms• Software interfaces• Content management systemsBesides my passion for all things user experience, I\'ve also worn other hats in my time including business analyst, project manager, visual designer and even front-end developer.I love a challenge and especially thrive on distilling complex problems into workable, usable solutions. And, while I am primarily a visual thinker who can create an overall strategic vision, I still maintain an ability and desire to dig into the details. I will always be a strong advocate for the user; however, I\'m also a pragmatist who believes in taking a common-sense approach to balancing the user needs with the technical and business requirements of the product stakeholders.
