ABOUT KATHLEEN CHRISTIE

I’m a purpose-driven professional working across strategy and delivery with people in the non-profit sector. A bit about my approach:A strategic thinker and natural organiser, I thrive where programmes and projects demand agility, analysis, and calm leadership. I see complexity as opportunity, using systems thinking to spot patterns, anticipate challenges, and chart smart paths forward. I see the bigger picture and build deliberately diverse partnerships to drive meaningful social change. I’m passionate about inclusive spaces where diverse voices are heard and empowered, and am confident engaging at all levels.A bit about my experience:For over a decade, I directed KC Consultants, delivering campaigning impact and engagement for over 20 major charities. I delivered 10 evaluations and learning reviews at project and programme level for national charities including Mencap and Amnesty International UK. I have robust experience in interim programme and project roles including rapid-response campaigning (TUC), advocacy strategy management (World Bank), strategic engagement strategy (Nursing & Midwifery Council) and diverse coalition-building—notably convening the Police Bill Alliance including grassroots community groups, large charities and ethical businesses to defend protest rights and challenge the criminalisation of nomadic life. More recently, I led training and consultancy at the Sheila McKechnie Foundation, managing a team of staff and consultants to deliver programmes that empowered 700+ campaigners and met the needs of 40 clients annually. I am currently seeking a role in a mission-led organisation where I can direct programmes or projects in fast moving spaces and deliver lasting impact.
