About Katherine Osterman
I am a sustainability leader passionate about human-centered design, health and wellness in the built environment, and nature inspired buildings that restore our world. I work as a Sustainability Project Manager for Haskell providing support for a variety of projects seeking sustainable certifications.Starting out my career, I wore a few hats as a Sustainability Engineer, Commissioning Engineer and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer at a general contracting company, giving me a solid foundation of construction, energy efficiency, and waste management knowledge. This was followed by experience at a design firm as an Analyst and Business Development Specialist, building on my technical and leadership skills through project management, relationship building, and sustainability analysis. I also have experience at a consulting firm as a certification reviewer performing project reviews for WELL certifications and WELL Health-Safety Ratings.I graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and Applied Physical Analysis from Creighton University and then went on to achieve an Executive Masters in Natural Resources at Virginia Tech\'s Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, painting, and spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and mushroom hunting.
