About Katherine Morin
I\'m a team-oriented scientist with a love for helping others, and 7+ years of experience in the lab. My current work at ASU involves the purification of photosynthetic membrane proteins for structural analysis. I serve as a project manager in addition to performing chromatography, purification, and industrial-scale cell culturing required for this project. Prior to my current work as a research specialist, I earned my B.S. in Astrobiology & Biogeosciences at Arizona State University in 2020. I have an aggressively interdisciplinary education consisting of coursework in chemistry, biology, geology, astronomy, and engineering. This culminated with my capstone project in which my team launched an atmospheric sounding radiometer on a NASA HASP payload. Since graduating, I’ve furthered my education through completing graduate courses in biochemistry and analytical techniques at ASU.
