About Katherine King

I am a Human Biology student at Indiana University pursuing the Pre-Physician Assistant track with a minor in the Kelley School of Business. My academic and clinical experiences are focused on building a strong foundation in patient care while preparing for a future career as a Physician Assistant.I have gained hands-on clinical experience through my Certified Nurse Assistant training, where I completed clinical hours in a long-term care facility, assisting residents with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and supporting their overall well-being.In addition, I completed a clinical internship with Mira Genetix, where I assisted with patient intake, documentation, and coordination of genetic testing services while observing genetic consultations and applications of precision medicine.I have also shadowed physicians in dermatology and community health settings, gaining exposure to a variety of clinical environments and procedures, including dermatologic treatments and women\'s health. Outside of clinical work, I serve as Chapter President of Alpha Chi Omega at Indiana University, where I oversee operations for a 247-member organization and lead initiatives focused on leadership development, philanthropy, and mentorship.I am passionate about healthcare, service, and leadership, and I am continually seeking opportunities to expand my clinical experience as I prepare for Physician Assistant school.

   Lead and manage all chapter operations for a 247-member organization, fostering academic success, personal growth, and leadership development among members- Plan and preside over weekly chapter meetings, philanthropy initiatives, and risk management efforts while upholding Alpha Chi Omega’s core values- Navigate member concerns and organizational challenges with a solutions-focused approach, effectively delegating responsibilities to an 18-member executive board- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Alpha Mu Chapter, Panhellenic Council, and Indiana University’s Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life
