ABOUT KATHERINE JERNSTROM
Katherine Jernstrom is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor with deep experience in Alaska’s economic development and startup ecosystem. She is the founder of The Boardroom, Anchorage’s first coworking space, which she has grown into a thriving professional community serving more than 450 members.Katherine has invested in and advised entrepreneurs and lower middle-market companies across sectors including clean energy, logistics, advanced manufacturing, finance, and rural infrastructure. In 2025, she was elected to the Board of Directors of Chugach Electric Association, Alaska’s largest electric utility, serving over members.She has served on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards, including Launch Alaska, Spawn Ideas, and the Anchorage Community Development Authority, and previously served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Alaska, where she mentored more than 100 early-stage founders.Katherine holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
